A review of http://www.bligblogblag.com/

If you would like me to review your website for free, check out my blog post http://www.jeancosta.com/news/free-constructive-review-of-your-blog.html and view how you too can get a free website review!

What is this website all about?
This blog is run by Alfred Opare Saforo a married father who is a certified A+ computer technician. His blog or his journal as he likes to call it, focuses on technology, and alfred’s social commentary.

Design

The design of the website is clean and simple.

Navigation

The navigation menu on the left hand side, at first glance looks clean, with easy to read text, and colors that blend well with the design and theme of the blog. However, there is no real organization to the navigation links.

What I would suggest to Alfred for the navigation menu is either to alphabetically order the navigation menu, or to divide them into sub sections. In the end, the easier you make it for the readers to find what they need, the better it is.

Under the navigation menu, it feels way too busy. There are some unnecessary things there, that are just taking up precious space on the blog. Perhaps, the owner Alfred should take a second look, and try to optimize the navigation menu all together. Simplicity is always best.

neocounter.gifAn example of what I feel is unnecessary on your left side navigation, is the widget that displays the current online users by cities. It is interesting to see where the users are coming from, but personally, I think it is unnecessary, and takes up space. I’ll leave it up to Alfred to decide what he thinks is necessary or not, in the end the final decision is his.

Suggestions

I’ve already suggested about the navigation menu on the left hand side.

I would also suggest on removing the snapshots tool. Yes it seems like a great tool, for people to preview the link before they visit it. But it can get annoying, and again it is quite unnecessary. Cleaner, and simple is always better, especially in the early stages of trying to establish credibility.

Otherwise, Alfred is doing a good job, the blog is still in its early stages, so it is only beginning to get its image and shape. As long as Alfred continues to provide unique and quality content, the blog is already one step on its way to success.
